Here’s a delicious summer twist on the standard gin & tonic. The blackberries add a fruity fling that is definitely welcome on a sunny day.
Ingredients:
- 6 blackberries (plus 2 for garnishing)
- 1/2 shot of lime juice
- 1 shot of sugar syrup
- 1 1/2 shots of your favourite gin (I prefer Hendricks, but Gordon’s is always a good standby)
Recipe:
- Put the blackberries in a cocktail shaker with the sugar syrup, gin and lime juice. Mash up with a rolling pin, then fill with ice, shake and strain into a high-ball glass with a couple of ice cubes in it.
- Top up with as much (or as little) tonic you prefer. Garnish with the remaining blackberries.
